The above image is called “Tidal Pool” 18×24 Acrylic on Canvas. It is inspired by my time in the seashores of the Florida Keys, Key Biscayne, Mattheson Hammock, and Homestead Bayfront Park. Is a continuation of my recent work with dwindling ecosystems and the effects they have on the inhabitants of these environments.

I’m simplifying the forms a bit since I believe my audience has a common knowledge of what many of these marine animals look like. At the same time is not truly important to me doing a ultrarealistic interpretation, that is not my goal I’m more interested in portraying these environments in the most beautiful way possible. This is similar in both design and thought process “Don’t Get Triggered By The Goggle Eyes” Hope you enjoy.

Pronto les mostrare mas de las bellas imágenes tomadas de una preciosa familia del area de los Redland cerca de Homestead. El lugar usado para estas bellas imágenes fue el Rancho Victoria cuál dueño es el Señor Pedro Sifuentes uno de los principales Agricultores de la zona de Homestead. El gran caballo usado lleva por nombre “Lucho” y es un impresionante ejemplar de ecuestre domado.

Real Estate Photography in South Florida

Is not every day that a real estate photographer finds himself photographing his own home with the goal of placing it on the market to sell. But nevertheless this is where I find myself and this is the result of a few days of work to get the house set up to be photographed. It is a sad time for the Gonzalez household having to let go of our dream home in the Redlands near Homestead and Miami. A home that both my wife and I designed and physically partook in raising it from the barren nearly 3 acres of land that we bought back in 2006. After nearly 9 years of struggling to first build it and then trying to keep it we have determine that unless God does a miracle we will be selling and moving on to what ever His will would have for us. My dream was to see my grandkids play in the trees, ride the horses and just enjoy coming to grandpas big old house, but it will not be so. Family Portraits: Summer Mini Sessions

From a recent family mini session in a beautiful pinecrest area park. This little boy was all smiles because behind the photographer there was a professional child wrangler 😉 Actually it was his aunt making all the funny faces and the gestures that got him to smile. We had a wonderful time going around the park and capturing his beautiful smile. The boots are an extra bonus picture for the family…

Right now we are coming into the perfect weather here in South Florida for family photography in the late afternoons. The temperature will began to drop as we come closer to the end of summer. The sun will be setting sonner giving us a beautiful light to capture these images that will become family treasures in the years to come after the kids are all grown up and have left the nest. Family Photography Session in Homestead Florida

I recently had the privilege to photograph a wonderful family at Homestead Bayfront National Park. We arrived very early to benefit from the beautiful light. It was cold but all the wonderful smiles warmed up the place. Great people to work with very willing to pose and give their best to the shoot. Here are a couple of shots from the many that we took that morning. Afterwards my assistant [my daughter] and myself were treated to a delicious meal at Cracker Barrel were we spent a great time of just chewing the fat. Not that the food was full of fat it just a saying.

Anderson’s Corner Store 2011

I passed the other day with my children by the Library in Homestead, Florida on Campbell Drive and US 1. As I entered the building I noticed a photograph displayed on one of the walls. It got my attention because it was the image of a famous landmark here in South Florida. It turns out that this building had been added to the national register of historic places back in the late 70’s. But as I close to the photograph to my surprise I read the name of the artist who captured this image, William Maguire my old photography teacher at Florida International University. His image shows the building when still shined and stood as a solid structure but now it has been totally abandoned and has become the home of chickens and other animals. I took the time a few weeks ago since I live close by to do a study of the building. I was looking for the light early in the morning hitting the wood panels and the beams and such things. As I walked around the building I discovered more and more details, abandoned machinery and wildlife. Here are some of the images from that small trip of discovery.
