Aquí les ofrezco un pequeño ejemplo de fotos tomadas la semana pasada de dos bellas quinceañeras. El lugar por supuesto fue en los jardines del Vizcaya. Por causa de que ambos días de secciones de fotos los cielos estuvieron nublados la luz estuvo bien delicada con muy pocas sombras fuertes y un contraste aséalo mínimo.
Las hermosísimas muchachas en los años más hermosos de sus vidas tuvieron sus fotos tomadas en las diferentes aéreas de la Villa Vizcaya que se prestan para unas magnificas imágenes clásicas. Los vestidos con sus intensos colores y brillosos materiales resaltan contra las texturas de las columnas y los muros de piedra. La bella vegetación también les da un contraste espectacular a los decorosos vestidos y causan que las fotos resalten con vida. Las quinceañeras estuvieron disfrutando del maravilloso clima que el Sur de la Florida ofrece durante el mes de Febrero.
Las bellas quinceañeras fueron unas fabulosas modelos soportando las muchas posiciones y ajustes de expresiones que el exigente fotógrafo les pedía. Buscando la perfección en imagen para que sus recuerdos sean espectaculares es mi principal meta. Mi interés no es tomar las fotos lo más rápido posible pero es encontrar esos ángulos perfectos, encontrar la luz perfecta y encontrar lo que hace manifestar la belleza pura de la quinceañera.

Sometimes there are images that keep bringing you back to them. You can’t seem to get away, if you believe in such things as ghosts you would say that they haunt you. I don’t believe it that way but still this image keeps showing up every time that I’m looking at the Lightroom gallery in which it is placed. It just pops back at me, maybe is the color palette that it has maybe is the veil, I’m not sure but here it is a simple portrait. If we were to analyze the image we would find that certain elements are at play. First the eyes are not staring at the viewer so there is a sense of detachment from the subject. Second the color is to me at least flowing in the image, working its way around moving your eye back and forth. And last the brick reddish background keeps pulling the eye of the viewer towards the face which is framed by it.

A simple traditional style photograph taken of a bride in a Coral Gables park near the city of Miami, Florida. The bride is posing with a meditative expression. I choose Black and White on this image in order for the focus to be on the pose and the position of the flowers.
I recently had the privilege to photograph a wonderful family at Homestead Bayfront National Park. We arrived very early to benefit from the beautiful light. It was cold but all the wonderful smiles warmed up the place. Great people to work with very willing to pose and give their best to the shoot. Here are a couple of shots from the many that we took that morning. Afterwards my assistant [my daughter] and myself were treated to a delicious meal at Cracker Barrel were we spent a great time of just chewing the fat. Not that the food was full of fat it just a saying.
