To Feed Five Thousand

An acrylic painting inspired by the Biblical tale of the feeding of a multitude of five thousand that features two fish centrally positioned with blue as their predominant color. These fish are underneath a horizontal row of five circular elements, each with a cross-like design; the crosses alternate between yellow and orange and are variously sized and oriented. The painting's vibrant background is blue, while the periphery is adorned with a rich, colorful pattern incorporating hues of blue, orange, red, and green, with curving floral motifs and dots completing the dynamic and artistic composition.

Caribbean Islands

Both an underwater and aerial scene are depicted with a school of fish swimming amongst various patterns and colors. The fish are primarily in shades of light to dark orange with distinctive markings on their backs. Blue tones dominate the background, with light blue, teal, dark blue, and white elements that create a textured, tranquil environment. Some elements, resembling islands or dotted patterns, lend an abstract quality to the scene and may have been created using pouring techniques. The serenity of the atmosphere is reminiscent of a calm underwater setting, conveying a sense of the natural world’s beauty and mysteries.

an image of Meduse by artist Jorge R Gonzalez
The image is of a painting portraying a red-haired woman with blue eyes who is wearing a green top. Adornments such as a purple-beaded necklace and flowers in her hair, with the flowers mainly being blue with red centers, are also depicted. The image does not depict any textual elements.

Le Jardin de Meduse

A slight change of direction with this piece, working on a more figurative style. More of an experimentation and trying out new waters.

Recent work available to purchase on the galleries that represent my work online.

The above image is called “Tidal Pool” 18×24 Acrylic on Canvas. It is inspired by my time in the seashores of the Florida Keys, Key Biscayne, Mattheson Hammock, and Homestead Bayfront Park. Is a continuation of my recent work with dwindling ecosystems and the effects they have on the inhabitants of these environments.

I’m simplifying the forms a bit since I believe my audience has a common knowledge of what many of these marine animals look like. At the same time is not truly important to me doing a ultrarealistic interpretation, that is not my goal I’m more interested in portraying these environments in the most beautiful way possible. This is similar in both design and thought process “Don’t Get Triggered By The Goggle Eyes” Hope you enjoy.

“Una Cascabel Y Sus Peyotes”

snake with peyote cactus

This is one of the paintings that is part of a series that I’m working on dealing with vanishing ecosystems and the animals that live in it. I’m using less common animals, which tend be less “loved” to highlight that all of God’s creation serves a purpose. The series up to the moment includes this piece ” Una Cascabel y Sus Peyotes”, “Gulf Stream Life”, “Sunset at the Pond”, “Flounder and Friends”, and “Hierba de Alacran” .

Recent Two Dimensional Works.

My latest two and three dimensional works. Below is a small sample of my lates work including one of my favorites ” Beyond the Wheat Fields” a piece inspired by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the American response to it. “Picnic at the Park with Julia” is in memory of one of my grandmothers. It is also part of the Ventanas series that I have worked on for a while. Dividing the canvas in three panels and having the viewer looking out through theses panels of “glass”. Some of theses works have been exhibited in Homestead Florida. A few will be shown next month at the Seminole Theatre also in Homestead.
